Biography:
David L. Martindale was born in Pampa, Texas, on October 4, 1948. He
attended Texas Tech University for both undergraduate and law school
and received his law degree in 1974.
Following graduation he returned to his hometown, Pampa,
Texas, and entered into private practice. In 1976 he was elected County
Attorney of Gray County, Texas, and served in that capacity four years.
In 1987 Chevron Corp. hired him as Deputy Chief Litigation Counsel.
In that position, Mr. Martindale managed Chevron's Toxic Tort docket
and maintained a commercial litigation docket which included cases in
the practice areas of antitrust, employment, oil and gas, environmental,
contract and corporate law.
Mr. Martindale joined the firm in 1995 and practices
primarily in commercial law and civil litigation focusing on the areas
of products liability, toxic torts, environmental, natural resources,
construction and business related matters. He is a frequent seminar
speaker on environmental matters associated with oil and gas production.
Mr. Martindale has extensive litigation experience. He is admitted to
practice before all Texas state courts, all Mississippi state courts,
federal district courts in Texas and Mississippi and the Fifth Circuit
Court of Appeals. Additionally, he has been involved in trials and appeals
in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
